Knox Basketball has 3 academies on offer for Term 2, catering for U8 and above.
With tailored sessions for players of all ages and skill levels, our programs will emphasize individual skill set development, game understanding, and individual improvement. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your abilities, there will be something for everyone.
Mini Basket Academy (U8):
The Knox Mini Basket Academy is specifically designed to enhance the skills of current u8 Knox domestic competition players. This program will be led by Knox Community Basketball Manager, Gerard Hillier, who is a internationally renowned player development coach who specializes in the u8's, u10's and u12's age groups.
This program utilises a games-based approach, in a fun and welcoming environment, where all players can develop and grow their abilities at their own pace.
Future Raiders Academy (U10):
The Future Raiders Academy is specifically designed to enhance the skills of current u10 Knox domestic competition players, who desire to progress to the Knox Junior Raiders program once they move up to the u12 age group. This program utilises a games-based approach, incorporating a constraints-led methodology within an ecological and dynamic environment.
Players may choose between the Tuesday or Thursday session, however players cannot attend both as we have limited positions available in each session, so each player must select one and commit to that session throughout the term.
Domestic Skills Academy (U12 & Older):
The Domestic Skills Academy is a specialised program designed to elevate the game of current Knox Basketball domestic players. This program blends fun skill-building activities and drills with the concepts used in our Knox Raiders representative program.
It's the perfect opportunity for dedicated domestic players to take their skills to the next level, improve their basketball IQ, and gain a competitive edge on the court while still enjoying the fun aspects of the game.
